What We Do

Homework Room

One of our most valuable projects is our Homework Room that runs in Cosmo City. Learners from Grade 1 to 7 attend the Homework Room, Monday to Friday afternoon during the school term. We want to provide a safe and supportive environment for learners to complete their homework.

During public school holidays (March/April and June/July) we have a Homework Room Holiday Club to further assist the learners who are struggling.
Each afternoon consists of assisting with homework, in small groups and one-on-one, a craft / activity / story time.

Each learner also receives a sandwich, fruit & juice. We can accommodate 100 learners. (With Covid restrictions we are limited to 50)

Early Childhood Development (ECD) Project

Our ECD project focuses on the well being of the children - by improving their environment, providing food and ensure a good pre school education.
We provide training, equipment, upgrades and finances. Currently we have 4 pre-schools that we work alongside.

Food Pantry

Our Food Pantry provide food parcels both to those in need in our communities and families in Liberty Church.

We rely on donations (monetary and food items) in order to meet the needs. The Food Parcel contains enough food for a family of 4 for two weeks.

You can assist by collecting a Liberty Compassion Grocery Bag with a shopping list. As a family, a Life Group or a Dream Team fill the bag with the groceries and then bring the full grocery bag back to church and exchange it for an empty grocery bag. Alternatively donate R300 and we'll do the shopping for you.
